Race Chief AI (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Race Chief AI mobile and desktop applications and the website racechiefai.racing (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: email address, display name, password (stored as a hashed value — we never store plaintext passwords)
• Team name and team member information
• Driver profile: name, home track, experience level, handling preferences, driving notes
• Race data: session records, lap times, setup sheets, tire temperatures, weather observations, checklist entries, crew chief chat history
• Payment information: processed by Stripe (mobile) or RevenueCat (iOS/Android) — we never receive or store your full card number

Information collected automatically

• Device information: operating system, app version, device model
• Usage data: features accessed, session frequency (no keystroke or screen recording)
• IP address and approximate location (country/region) for security and fraud prevention
• Crash reports and performance logs

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the Service, including AI-powered crew chief responses
• Process subscription payments and manage your account
• Send transactional emails (password reset, team invitations, billing receipts)
• Improve the Service — aggregate, anonymized usage data helps us identify which features matter most
• Security and fraud detection — IP and device data helps us protect accounts
• Legal compliance — we may retain data as required by applicable law

We do not sell your data. We do not share your race data, setup sheets, driver profiles, or chat history with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. AI Processing

When you use the Virtual Crew Chief feature, your messages and session context (lap times, setup data, weather, tire temperatures) are sent to Google’s Gemini API for processing. This data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Google’s use of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and its API Terms of Service. We do not use your race data to train AI models.

5. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

• Team members you invite — race data is scoped to your team and accessible by members you authorize
• Supabase (PostgreSQL) — database hosting provider under a Data Processing Agreement
• Google Gemini — AI processing for the Virtual Crew Chief feature
• Stripe / RevenueCat — payment processing; they receive billing information only
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Railway — application hosting provider
• Law enforcement or legal process — if required by court order or applicable law

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and race data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes, retained for 7 years).

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing, row-level security on all database tables, and JWT-based authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. 9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your race data in a portable format
